Cupping
We’re always happy to host a cupping session at our Huntingwood Quality Lab. It’s a relaxed, informal experience—no jargon, just coffee. Whether you’re new to cupping or a seasoned pro, you’re more than welcome.
Sessions typically run for about an hour, and we usually cup Monday to Thursday. If it’s your first time, no stress—we’ll guide you through it.
For experienced cuppers, we often include new arrival samples—a great opportunity to calibrate and discover something fresh.
GREEN COFFEE PRE-BLENDING
This is a service unique to Volcafe and designed to enhance production efficiency for roasters – large or small. Using specially designed equipment from Japan, Taiwan and Australia, origins first run through de-stoners before passing through equipment specifically designed to achieve an accurate ratio mix.
Blends can be packed in 60kg or 1000kg bags. Minimum production run is 1 tonne per recipe.

We understand the unique flavours and characteristics of our coffees – and how to bring them together in harmony. Whether you’re looking to match a specific blend or develop something entirely new, we’re here to offer constructive, practical feedback.
All discussions are treated with complete confidentiality, so you can explore ideas freely and confidently.
ROASTED OR GREEN COFFEE ANALYSIS
We are always happy to analyse green of roasted coffee. Screening reports, moisture content, water density can be provided if needed.
Our Quality Lab Agtron is always on and running a roasted sample through on Gourmet or Commercial scale is no problem at all. All we need is a 70g sample of roasted beans.
Providing feedback on blends is part of what we do as well. We cup the blend in our usual way to build an idea of the flavour and origins, then taste as espresso and most importantly; in milk.
